On a Sunday morning we have a service at 8am in the chancel (by the high altar).
This is a simple eucharist from A New Zealand Prayer Book He Karakia Mihinare o Aotearoa.
It lasts about 40 minutes.
Then at 10am we have our principal service of the week, a sung eucharist in the Nave.
The St Matthew’s Voices lead the music with often an introit, anthem, and pieces during communion.
The organ is used for the hymns.
The liturgy is Anglican in structure and material is taken from many sources:
the Prayer Book, the resources of churches around the world, and our own locally written material.
Clergy and laypeople preach and sermons are available online in the week following the service.
Following the 10am service we gather for morning tea and fellowship.
On a Sunday at 7.30pm the Auckland Rainbow Community Church have a communion service
which is led by clergy from various denominations including the St Matthew's team.
St Matthew's is proud to have hosted this congregation for over 30 years.
On a Wednesday at 12.20pm we have a simple eucharist in the Peace Chapel
from A New Zealand Prayer Book He Karakia Mihinare o Aotearoa.
The service last 20-30 minutes.
All are welcome to come and receive the bread and wine; there are gluten free wafers, just ask the serving priest.
There is a chalice for dipping — simply hold the bread in front of you to signify your choice.

If the stairs are a barrier please sit in the front pews and communion will be brought to you.
